Procreate 5.2 has painting on 3D objects. Of course I had to try it out. painting on the supplied 3D models of aluminum cans and sneakers didn’t inspire me.
I had downloaded Nomad Sculpt on a recommendation. Once used to the terminology and nature of the tools, I did sculpt a nose. That version of Nomad didn’t do the UV secret stuff that Procreate needed, so a workaround was to import the Obj file into Forger. Well, I did that. Worked up another model and did the UV thing and imported it into Procreate.
Painting, colour balancing, drawing extra hair. Setting the head onto a flat cartoon body seemed the obvious thing to do. Not really a remarkably fresh idea.
Nomad has recently updated the app to include UV Unwrapping.
